ANNOUNCEMENTS πŸ“£

Student Support

Supporting students is a top priority at OSU. If a student has accommodations through a 504 or IEP, those accommodations will not automatically transfer upon enrollment at OSU. Students must register with OSU Student Accessibility Services (SAS) and complete an intake to determine reasonable accommodations.

FRIENDLY REMINDERS

FAFSA

The 2025-2026 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is now open. Your students should fill out the FAFSA using OSU's school code of 003170 as soon as possible to maximize scholarship and financial aid opportunities.

Before completing the FAFSA, they will need to create an FSA ID, which serves as their legal signature when completing the FAFSA. They can visit the Federal Student Aid website to get started.

We've begun notifying students of their assured scholarship awards and anticipate financial aid packaging to begin in early spring.

APPLICATION INFORMATION

Orientation and Housing Registration Now Open

Registration for orientation and enrollment and OSU housing is open.

We highly suggest students familiarize themselves with the available orientation and enrollment programs and dates.

When registering for OSU housing:

  • OSU housing is guaranteed for all incoming first-time freshmen.
  • Housing assignments are made throughout the spring and summer based on the date and time students submit their enrollment deposit, the housing and roommate preferences they select during registration and availability.
  • We encourage students to register for housing by our April 1 Priority Housing Registration Deadline in order to receive their room assignment by late April.

We highly encourage students to review our step-by-step housing registration training course so they have all the information they need to get started. They can also review our important housing dates and deadlines.

Freshman Residency Requirement Exemption

All incoming first-time freshmen are required to live in university housing. To request an exemption, students must submit the housing exemption request form. Students are encouraged to submit their requests as early as possible. The deadline for exemption is Sept. 3.

Final Scholarship Deadline

Our Early Opportunity and Priority Scholarship Deadlines may have passed, but it's not too late for students to apply and be considered for some scholarships. OSU's Final Scholarship Deadline is the Friday before fall 2025 classes begin in August.
