FAFSA UPDATES

FAFSA

The FAFSA will become fully available to all students and families by Dec. 1. Once available, your student should fill out the FAFSA using OSU's school code of 003170 to maximize scholarship and financial aid opportunities.

Before completing the FAFSA, your student will need to create an FSA ID, which serves as their legal signature when completing the FAFSA. They can visit the Federal Student Aid website to get started.

APPLICATION INFORMATION

Two Ways To Apply

  • Common Application: Enables students to apply for admission to multiple schools with one application
  • OSU application: Serves as application for both admission and scholarships at OSU

Enrollment Deposit

OSU's enrollment deposit for incoming freshmen opens Dec. 1 for students planning to start in fall 2025. This $300 deposit is essential for housing registration — room assignments will be made based on deposit submission date and time, housing and roommate preferences and availability.

Partial refunds of $250 are available if canceled by May 1 for summer and fall entering students or Dec. 15 for spring entering students.

Students can submit their enrollment deposit in the application portal to secure their spot!

Application Fee Waiver

OSU accepts ACT, SAT, and NACAC fee waivers. For students who qualify for free or reduced lunch, you may also request an application fee waiver on their behalf. Please email or mail an official waiver or letter confirming the student’s eligibility.

SCHOLARSHIPS AND PROGRAMS

Freshmen In Transition (FIT)

We are now accepting applications for Freshmen in Transition (FIT), the Ferguson College of Agriculture's Living Learning Program. Students will live with fellow Ferguson College of Agriculture freshmen, FIT Student Academic Mentors (FIT SAMs) and community mentors, who will help them become engaged and involved. In addition, students will work with peers, faculty and staff through academic, extracurricular, professional, social and service activities that promote personal growth and development. For more information, contact Sam Bacon.

CEAT Living and Learning Programs

Applications are now open for our CEAT Living and Learning Programs where first-year students majoring in the College of Engineering, Architecture, and Technology can take advantage of our dedicated Living Learning Program in Parker Hall.

The recently renovated residence hall features traditional-style living with specialized services and programs, including mentoring with upper classmates (PEATEs), free on-site tutoring and regular interaction with CEAT faculty and staff through socials and presentations.

OSU Agriculture Microbiome Program

The Agriculture Microbiome Program (AMP) will introduce 9th and 10th grade students and STEM teachers to the microbiome sciences that promise to improve agricultural productivity and reduce the environmental impact of agriculture. Participants will enjoy a variety of interactive virtual modules and a week-long hands-on summer camp on the OSU-Stillwater Campus. Students will develop laboratory and presentation skills to share what they learned with their communities.

Thoma Scholars Program

We encourage students from select counties in Northwest Oklahoma, the Texas Panhandle, and Eastern New Mexico to apply for the prestigious Thoma Scholars Program by the recently extended Dec. 15 deadline. This highly competitive full-ride scholarship covers tuition, fees, housing, meals, books and other educational expenses for four years. Additionally, recipients will receive a one-time study abroad scholarship and have the opportunity to develop leadership skills while participating in The Honors College at OSU.
